TheBigWaveBlog.com is dedicated to the sport of big wave surfing.
We’re headquartered on the North Shore of Oahu, giving us access to some of the best, most consistent big wave surfing action in the world. During the winter months of November–March, the North Shore of Oahu comes to life, as huge swells explode onto the near and offshore reefs. It is during this time of year that the entire surfing world turns its attention to the North Shore, anxiously watching as these beaches create big, death-defying waves and spectacular rides.
We’ll be chronicling the spectacular North Shore winter surfing season through photos, stories, interviews and helpful articles aimed to inform. It is our goal to capture the greatest big wave surfing moments of the season.
